The PTA hope that everyone is well and have navigated this extremely challenging part of the school year. 2020 has certainly proved a juggle and we are looking forward to having all of the children safely back in school. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Staff and Governors for all of their hard work in reinventing the school system for our children overnight, your dedication to our children’s safety and education is greatly appreciated.
We hope that you have found the weekly resources that we have shared useful in keeping the children entertained.
We are looking forward to getting the children back to school in September and whilst we will have to think differently about the PTA activities we can host, as safety is our paramount concern, we are looking forward to some new and exciting events.
If your child has been unable to paint his/her Lockdown Positive Memory Stone in time for the end of term, the collection box will remain outside of the school office over the summer holidays and so please drop off your child’s painted stone before the 8th August if you have not done so already.
As always, the repairs required to the school building continue and so we have planned a socially distanced DIY Day on Saturday 8th August, with a 9.30am start. If you can assist please let your class rep know or just turn up on the day!
If you have your child’s smarties tube filled with coins or credits, then we are reviewing a way in which we can safely count these credits whilst keeping the PTA team safe and will have a plan ready for September.
Moving forward, we are delighted to welcome Jenny Caulfield as the 2020 PTA Reception Class Rep and we are looking forward to welcoming the new Reception Year in September.
We are very sad to loose Natasha Griffiths as co-Chair of the PTA, she has been an invaluable asset to the PTA over the last 2 years. We wish Natasha the best of luck in her new job, we know she will be back to help the PTA as and when she can. We are therefore looking for a new co-Chair/Secretary for the PTA, if you are interested in this role, then please speak with your class rep, contact me directly or email wolvertonprimaryschoolpta@gmail.com with your contact details and I will contact you to discuss the role.
If you have any ideas for virtual or socially distanced fund raising then please do not hesitate to contact the PTA Team on wolvertonprimaryschoolpta@gmail.com.
We hope that you are able to enjoy the summer holidays and we look forward to reconnecting in September.
Stay Safe.
