A round-up of the latest school news for week ending 19.05.2022
Dare to be Different day – Friday 20th May
A reminder that tomorrow, children can come to school in an outfit to reflect their personality. This could be – Different coloured hair, dress as a superhero, odd socks, the choice is theirs ….
In return for dressing up we are asking for donations for the Jubilee Tombola. We are looking for children’s crafts, games and toys. Thank you in anticipation of your support.
Once again, we have gathered a huge mountain of unnamed lost property. Please can we remind parents to name all of their child’s belongings clearly. If you think you are missing any items, please come in and check the lost property box in the office. All unclaimed items will be put in to the air ambulance recycling bin next Thursday.
Pick up at end of the day
Please can we remind parents when picking up not to park on the yellow zigzags or in front of our neighbours’ driveways. Can we ask when waiting for the children to come out of school at the end of the day that you stand on the pavement and not on the zig zags in the road. This area is used for passing cars to pull in to give way to traffic coming in the opposite direction. Thank you.
We have had several cases of headlice in school. Please can you check your child’s hair and treat if necessary. Thank you.
Spare girls’ clothes
Class 2 need the following spare items of clothing – girl’s pants, tights and summer dresses. If you have any of these spare, please send in to Class 2 or the school office. Thank you.
The defibrillator is now in school and ready to use if needed. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated to this vital piece of equipment. We would also like to thank Emily Stephens from A C First Aid for taking each class for first aid training, the children thoroughly enjoyed this and learned new skills in first aid. Going forward, Emily will be monitoring the upkeep of the defibrillator for us.

You are welcome to come along and join us with your own picnic. You can either provide a picnic lunch for your child, or order a special Queen’s Jubilee buffet lunch through Baileys Catering.
