SATs (Statutory Assessment Tests)

The KS2 SATS are now complete. Year 2 SATs will take place throughout next week. You can help your children through the process by ensuring that they have a good night’s sleep and arrive in school in good time. Thank you.

Dare to be Different day – Friday 20th May

Children can come to school in an outfit to reflect their personality. This could be:

Different coloured hair, dress as a superhero, odd socks, the choice is theirs ….

In return for dressing up we are asking for donations for the Jubilee Tombola. We are looking for children’s crafts, games and toys. Thank you in anticipation of your support.

Jubilee Picnic – Friday May 27th 12.00 – 2.15pm

With the help of the PTA, our summer picnic to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee will take place in the school grounds between 12.00 and 2.15pm on 27th May. You are welcome to come along and join us with your own picnic. You can either provide a picnic lunch for your child, or order a special Queen’s Jubilee buffet lunch through Baileys Catering. As well as the picnic lunch, the children will be playing games and there will be various stalls to visit including:

• Tombola

• Cake and tea and coffee

• Guess the name of the Jubilee Bear

• Jubilee School Tea towels (also available on pre-order, more information to follow next week)

• Stationary

• Preloved uniform

If parents are unable to attend themselves they can send a maximum of £5 per child spending money.

Please note that the only dinner option from Baileys on Friday 27 May will be the Queen’s Jubilee picnic lunch, there will be no hot meals offered that day.

Autumn term Warwickshire Music lessons

If your child will be in Year 2 from September they will be able to start either guitar or piano lessons through Warwickshire Music. Attached is further information including prices and a consent form. If your child already plays an instrument and wishes to carry on in September please also complete the consent form. Forms need to be back in school by Thursday 19th May at the latest. Thank you.
