A round-up of the latest school news for week ending 17.02.2022
Weekly News
Parents evening
If you have not yet responded to the Dojo message sent this week regarding your choice of parents evening, please reply to your child’s class teacher as soon as possible. A link will be sent out early next week for you to book a slot, either virtual or face to face.
Attendance & punctuality
A reminder that if your child is unwell and will not be in school to please phone the office by 9.15am. If we do not receive a phone call we will ring you to ensure your child is safe. Can we also remind everyone that it is very important that the children arrive at school on time in order to start their lessons promptly. Children who arrive late often miss initial instructions given to the class and can be left wondering what they have to do. Some children are also embarrassed if they are late and find it difficult to start to concentrate once they arrive in class. A child’s late arrival often disrupts the class and affects not only the child who is late but also the learning of other children.
Red Nose Day
Tomorrow, Friday 18 March is Red Nose Day, children can come to school dressed in their own clothes in exchange for a donation to the Comic Relief Charity. Please visit https://www.comicrelief.com to find out how you can donate. Thank you for your support.
Easter Competition
A reminder that we are once again running our ‘Make an Easter Bonnet’ or ‘Decorate an Egg’ competitions. Every child can choose to make an Easter bonnet or decorate an egg. A prize will be given for the winning entry in each year group which will be provided by the PTA. Entries need to be brought in to school on the morning of Thursday 7 April. Winners will be announced in the last newsletter of the term.
The PTA will also be organising an Easter Hamper raffle. More information on this will be sent out nearer the time.
