A round-up of the latest school news for week ending 06.01.2022
Welcome back. We hope you all had a restful break over the Christmas holidays and managed to meet with family and friends.
Disabled parking space
We are currently looking into getting an official designated disabled parking space allocated on the road outside of the school. In the meantime, we have designated areas at either end of the yellow zig zags i.e. in front of the school office and by the main access gates, for anyone who holds a blue disabled badge to enable them to park easily when dropping off and picking up their children.
School closures due to bad weather
During the winter months if the weather becomes bad enough to enforce a school closure for health and safety reasons, then parents will be notified via an email and/or a text message via Schoolcomms. Please ensure Mrs Thirlaway has your most up to date contact details, and if you know you cannot answer your phone whilst at work, please provide an alternative emergency contact. Thank you.
Please ensure that all children have a warm coat, hat, scarf and gloves in school every day as they play outside every break and lunchtime, weather permitting
KS1 toilet refurbishment
Work on refurbishing the toilets in KS1 is due to begin on Monday 10 January. Contractors will be in and around the school site all week and there may be additional pressures on parking. KS1 children can access their classroom as normal.
