Chair of Governors
Zanna Patchett has decided to step down as Chair of the governing body, she will still continue to be on the board as a Co-opted governor. We would like to thank Zanna for her time and commitment since taking on the role in March 2019.
We are very pleased to say that Mark Goossens has been appointed as our new Chair. Mark has been on the governing body as a Partnership governor since July 2019. We very much look forward to working with him in his new role.
Open afternoon for Reception Admissions
If you have a child that is due to start school in September 2022 and you would like to visit the Reception class, please book a slot at one of our open afternoons via the following link. http://wolvertonprimary.org.uk/openday
We still have some printed flyers which we would like to give out to local nurseries and playgroups. Please speak to Mrs Thirlaway in the office if you can help with the distribution of these. Thank you.
Harvest festival donations
Thank you to everyone who sent in donations for the Stratford Food Bank. For those of you that didn’t send in a donation but would still like to, you can take them to the school office next week. Thank you.
Christmas card fundraiser
A reminder that the on-line shop for ordering Christmas cards etc. made from your child’s artwork closes on Monday 18 October. All proceeds from the sale will go to PTA funds. Thank you for your support.
Hallowe’en Film night
A reminder that the PTA are organising a film night after school on Thursday 21 October. The children can come to school dressed in costumes, but no scary masks or separate accessories like wands or brooms will be allowed. PTA 100 Club
There are still some numbers available for the PTA 100 club, please contact Sarah Davies or email wolvertonprimaryschoolpta@gmail.com if you would like a number, and we’ll do the first draw at the end of October. Don’t forget to ask friends and family, grandparents etc if they would like a number! Thank you for supporting the PTA so we can continue to support the school in providing resources and experiences for the children.
