A round-up of the latest school news for week ending 11.03.2021
Weekly News
Staggered start and end of day procedures
The staggered start and end times to the school day seem to be working well overall with children coming in at the appointed times and parents able to arrive and leave the school site quickly.
There are however a couple of points that I feel we can improve:
please can you queue at the side of the pavement to allow other people to pass you, particularly adults who have younger children in buggies
if you are bringing a dog with you, please can you ensure it is kept close to you at all times so that other pedestrians have space to pass you
I appreciate that the footpath is very narrow and that making space to allow other people to pass you can be difficult. If you are stepping into the space between parked cars or onto the road to allow other people to pass you, please remain vigilant to moving traffic.
As a reminder drop off and pick up times are as follows:
Pupils whose surname begins with the letters A to G come into school at 08.45 and leave at 15.05 Pupils whose surname begins with the letter H to Z come into school at 8.55 and leave at 15.15
Please can you stick to the times allocated and be punctual. Thank you in anticipation of your ongoing support.
Baileys hot lunches for KS2
After Easter we are considering offering hot lunches again to children in Years 3 to 6. Please could you let Mrs Thirlaway know via email if you would like your child to have hot meals and how often. Thank you.
