The Stratford Literacy Festival is running a ‘Felix Dennis Young Poets Competition’ which may be of interest to your child/ren. The competition is open to children and young people aged 5 to 21 and author Tracey Corderoy will judge the entries under three age categories, with a prize for the winning poem in each category. All of the best poems will also be published in a special poetry collection.
The competition is now open for entries and they would love to have as many from local schools as possible. Deadline for entries is Friday 5 March 2021. For full details visit: https://www.stratfordliteraryfestival.co.uk/competitions

Following the government’s lockdown announcement, Warwickshire School Health are still available to support schools and their children, young people and families. They are unable to meet parent/carers and young people face-to-face in most circumstances, therefore interventions are being delivered either by telephone, video call or ChatHealth text messaging. The National Child Measurement Programme and Health Needs Assessments have been suspended. Further updates will follow in due course.
