A round-up of the latest school news for week ending 08.10.2020
New drop off times at the start of the day
To try and get the children in to school with a quicker start to the school day, we are reducing the 10-minute arrival time slots down to 5 minutes as follows:
Class 2 (Years 1 & 2) & Class 4 (Years 5 & 6) – 8.45 am to 8.50 am
Class 3 (Years 3 & 4) & Reception – 8.55 am to 9.00 am
These new arrival times will start from tomorrow, Friday 9 October.
Pick up times at the end of the day remain the same.
Baileys school lunches
After half term, children in Reception and KS1 (Years 1 & 2) will be able to order a hot meal from Baileys as well as a packed lunch. There will be just two hot meal choices, a main meal and a baked potato option. At the moment due to classes having to stick to their bubbles we cannot offer this option to children in KS2 (Years 3 to 6) although they can continue to order the packed lunch option.
Parent governor election
You should have been sent an email with a voting key and a link to vote. Each parent / carer that has a child at the school is entitled to have one vote each. If you have not received the email with the voting key please let Mrs Thirlaway know.
Masks and face coverings
Thank you for all wearing your face coverings when you arrive at school. Can we just ask that the masks or face coverings you wear are appropriate for the age of our children. Thank you.
Healthy Minds Fundraiser #HelloYellow
A reminder that we are taking part in the #HelloYellow fundraiser tomorrow, Friday 9 October. Children need to come to school in non-uniform wearing something yellow in exchange for a donation. The donation can be made directly to the #HelloYellow charity via the following link https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/helloyellow2020. Thank you for your support.
The annual flu vaccination programme is being offered to all children in school this year. These will take place on Friday 13 November. A couple of weeks before this date a letter will be sent out via email which will contain a link to a consent form that can be completed online.

Year 6 leavers gift
At the end of the summer term our Year 6 leavers gave the school a new outside clock.
Ben Ranner very kindly put this up for us yesterday. It is hanging above the pupil entrance on the playground. A big thank you to them for the gift and to Ben for putting it up for us.
