A round-up of the latest school news for week ending 02.07.2020
End of term reports
End of term reports will be emailed out to you today. Please note, your child’s progress has been measured from September 2019 to March 2020.
Governors annual parental questionnaire
The annual parental questionnaire undertaken by the governors is now available as an on-line survey from our website. Please complete a separate survey for each child. We realise that this might involve some repetition, but there are often different responses for different children/classes and it makes it much easier to analyse the responses if they are separated. Your responses will be passed on to the Governors for analysis before they are shared with the Head Teacher. You may complete your surveys anonymously or, if you would value a personal response from the Chair of Governors and/or the Head teacher, then please feel free to add your name. The deadline for completing the survey is Thursday 16th July 2019. Once the responses are analysed the governors will write to you with the main findings. Please follow the link to complete the survey https://www.wolvertonprimary.org.uk/survey/
When completing the survey please provide feedback from pre-lockdown rather than during the phased return and homeschooling. Thank you.
School closure for transition meetings
A reminder that, with the exception of key worker children, the school is closed next Thursday 9 July as follows:
Reception – Closed all day
Year 1 & Year 6 – closed in the afternoon only
Year 1 – please collect your child at 12.05pm
Year 6 – please collect your child at 12.15pm
Please remember that all social distancing rules apply when you are collecting your child.
If you are a key worker and require care provision on this day, please let us know by Monday at 10.00am.
The PTA would like to invite all of the Wolverton Primary School children to decorate a stone over the next few weeks.
To remember a positive memory from lockdown and so we may remember who was at Wolverton Primary School during lockdown.
We ask each child to write their first name on one side and on the other write or draw a positive memory.
This could be an experience, a pet, a hobby, a film, a food they have discovered, whatever the child thinks of as a positive memory from this time.
We will then treat the stones over the holidays and use them to decorate the sensory garden.
If possible, please use acrylic paint or permanent marker pen.
If you could please drop your child’s stone in the box behind the wall (opposite the main gate) before the end of term, we would be very grateful.
If you need supplies to do this activity, please let your class rep know.
