A round-up of the latest school news for week ending 07.05/2020.
Weekly News
Dear Parents
We hope you are all safe and well at home and are managing to access all the on-line learning resources sent by your child’s teacher. Please do get in touch if you are having problems accessing this learning. You can contact us by email on admin5201@welearn365.com or on the school mobile phone: 07881 010552.
Reception September intake
We are very pleased to say that we have offered 15 places for Reception for September and these have all been accepted. We very much look forward to welcoming the new children and families to our school. We hope to meet them on our ‘move up’ day if we are back in school.
School re-opening
There is a lot of speculation in the press about schools re-opening. We will follow Government and LA guidance to ensure that when we do re-open the safety of the pupils, staff and parents is a priority. Further information will be sent out to you as and when we receive this.
Bank holiday – VE day
A reminder that tomorrow, 8 May is a bank holiday to celebrate VE Day and we would love to see how you have been marking this anniversary. Don’t forget to send in any photos you have that show how you and your families have celebrated the day or any work that the children have created. We will then show these in next week’s newsletter. We have already had a lovely photo sent in by Jesse in Reception of a lovely peace dove.
75 years ago, our armed forces were heroes, making sacrifices to save Europe from tyranny.
In 2020, you can be a hero, by making the sacrifices that we all must make in order to save lives.
This #VEDay75 – Stay at home. Protect the NHS. Save Lives.
Here are suggestions to help you remember this important day from home:
Music lessons
If you have not yet sent your form back for music lessons in September, please send in via email or let Mrs Thirlaway know that you would like to carry on or start lessons. Thank you.
Planning application
If you have not yet had chance to comment on the portal to support the application please take 5 minutes to do so, or email Sarah MacPherson on planning.applications@stratford-dc.gov.uk. Thank you.
Family support
Please see attached a family support poster which gives advice and information on parenting and behaviour support during this difficult time.
