A round-up of the latest school news for week ending 20/03/2020.
Weekly News
School closure
We have a letter ready to send out detailing how teachers will support your child’s learning during the period of school closure. However, we cannot finalise this at the moment as we are waiting for further information from the LA on a number of points.
Teachers will primarily set online learning activities during the period of school closure. The usernames and passwords of the websites teachers have decided to use will be sent home either today with your child along with their school report or separately tomorrow. If your child has not been in school recently then the class teacher will take a photograph of your child’s passwords and report and send this home to you via Class Dojo.
Communication
During the period of school closure Mrs Thirlaway will be monitoring emails on the admin email address as normal. Teachers will be contactable via Class Dojo.
Spring term progress reports
Progress reports will be coming home with your child tonight. Attached is a letter to help you understand the report.
Safeguarding
If during the period of school closure you are worried about a child you know please refer to the school website’s ‘safeguarding page’ for details on how to contact the Education Safeguarding Service to report your concerns.
School closure due to lack of water
Thank you to everyone for your understanding during yesterdays school closure, we very much appreciate your prompt action in bringing the children back to school once the water supply was re-instated.
We wish all our children and their families well during the coming weeks and hope to see everyone fit and healthy when we return to school.
Kind regards
Wolverton School
