Planning permission for new school field
The planning permission to change a section of agricultural land at the back of the school woods to playing fields has now been submitted and it would really help to ensure it is granted if parents could provide letters of support. Please email planning.applications@stratford-dc.gov.uk for the attention of Sarah MacPherson, quoting the application number PP-08495398v1. We will keep you updated on the application process. Thank you.
Netball Match
Our netball team played in a home game against Claverdon school yesterday. They all played really well and thoroughly enjoyed the game. Although we didn’t win the children played well as a team, with some good passing and shots at goal.
New library mural
As part of the library refurbishment, we have had a wonderful new mural painted on one of the walls in the library by a local artist Juliette Jones. It has certainly brightened up the space. We have some more artistic plans for the rest of the school so watch this space!
Parents’ Evening
If you have not yet signed up for a meeting slot with your child’s teacher please either come in to school and sign up or contact Mrs Thirlaway by phone or email.
Sport Relief
Tomorrow is ‘Sport Relief’ where the children can come to school dressed in their sports kit for a £1 donation. The children have been doing a different 5 minute activity each day this week.
Coronavirus update
We are continuing to follow advice from Public Health England over the Coronovirus. All schools are preparing action plans should the government decide to shut all schools for a period of time. At present there is no information about whether this would happen but we will of course keep you updated should the situation change.
Athletics vests
If anyone still has their athletics vest at home, please send back in to school as soon as possible. Thank you.
Kind regards
