The school gate is opened at 8.45am and both children and parents are welcome to come onto the playground. Reception children and their parents can go in the classroom to drop off bags and coats before going outside.
The bell is rung at 8:55am which is a signal for all children to line up in their class lines and for parents to leave the premises. The children are collected from the playground by their teacher.
In the case of wet weather the children say goodbye to their parents at the door then go straight into their own classroom.
Please can parents refrain from entering the classrooms before school or without prior arrangement with their child’s class teacher as this is not only valuable preparation time for the school staff but also may cause a health & safety issue if the building had to be evacuated in the event of an emergency.
End of day procedures
The school gate is opened at 3.15pm. Parents of pupils in the Reception class can make their way to the area outside the classroom to pick up their child from staff at the end of the school day.
KS1 and KS2 pupils are dismissed at 3.15pm. Parents should wait by the school gate to collect their children.
